it should start normal

segmentation fault (i think its a problem with dbus)

problem gets fixed if i delete the /.kde/share/apps/amarok folder

Probably your database got corrupted, unless you backed up the folder before removing it there is little one can do now :S

THANKS!! Worked like a charm for fixing startup segmentation faults on Ubuntu 12.04-64 bit when all else failed.
