Bug Description

The plug-in is installed according to the tool "Manage Content Plug-ins" in Firefox.
This is in Ubuntu 11.10 fully updated 2011-10-20.
Firefox gave the error message "The DjView plugin has crashed. No report available."

If this is the same error I had after updating the package, it is a problem with the linked libraries. I have fixed my system, so I cannot provide the old error messages.
The plugin has two possibility to communicate with the browser: XEmbed or Xt. The updated version uses the Xt variante which seems not to work.
The solution was to re-compile the "djview-plugin" package from source. As far as I remember it is important that you have the libglib2.0-dev installed so the XEmbed protocol will be used.
You can find the relevant part of the source code by searching for "using the" in gui/nsdejavu/nsdejavu.c
