Bug Description

My Xubuntu 11.10 is fully localized in Dutch. When I install LibreOffice Writer in Xubuntu 11.10 with software-center, the Dutch translations of LibreOffice aren't being pulled in automatically as well. Which they should.

I have to run gnome-language-selector in order to get the missing translations. When I start gnome-language selector, it notifies me of it's own, that there are translation files waiting for me. I only have to click Install then.

Just tested: same problem in Ubuntu. When installing GIMP, the translations aren't being pulled in automatically either. This issue of software-center affects not only Xubuntu, but Ubuntu as well.

The bug is actually really strange. When I install GIMP through the Software Center, it does pulls in the translations. But when I install LibreOffice (yes, I fully removed it before) then it doesn't fetch the translations.

So this bug is really strange.
