Bug Description
I have three options for sound output: Internal Audio Analog Stereo, Logitech Speaker Lapdesk N700 Analog Stereo, and Simultaneous to both of those.
All three work fine. When Earcandy is running, I can no longer select the Internal audio. It stays on the N700. Which is usually fine. But when I use skype, I want to use the internal audio so only my headphones have the sound.
When I open earcandy, it lets me choose what device for each stream. But selecting Internal Audio for Skype does not change the output when using skype.
Also, with earcandy loaded, I can no longer use the sound config utility in Ubuntu 11.04 to select the internal audio output. I have to remove earcandy for that to allow me to switch between Internal Audio and N710 sound.
I have the same problem. I'd like notifications (including an incoming call ring) to go to the onboard PCI soundcard, but all other sounds/music/voice to go the USB headset, while it's plugged in.
As Lisa nelson reported, changing the output stream in EarCandy has no effect. As soon as EarCandy is loaded, all sounds divert to the USB headset, regardless of settings.
I'm using the latest available Ubuntu Oneiric / PulseAudio / KDE.
