[6.1 rc1] Date calendar not showing the defined date in Expenses form

I am sure that this happens in other areas too.

Open a new HR Expense form. The date field shows today's date.

When you open a calendar it shows a date in 2017 even though the date today is still showing in the field behind it. It should show the same date as depicted in the field if possible, otherwise today's date.
