offlineimap occasionally deletes mail it has previously downloaded

Since upgrading to oneiric a few days ago, OfflineIMAP has taken to deleting mail that is present on the server from my local Maildir. The first time I ran it after upgrading it deleted a few thousand mails, then when I ran it again it redownloaded them again -- then when I ran it a third time, it deleted 60k mails. Then I restored from backup and it worked for a few days, but it's just now deleted 4000 mails again. This is obviously rather upsetting!

(Suggesting it being the mentioned upstream bug, instead of some other issue.)

Hey all, I stupidly didn't find this bug report before I reported bug #883993. I started doing the documentation of performing an SRU so that people don't need to download the 12.04 package from LP directly. I'll leave it up to you to copy over the SRU info and mark it as a dupe of this bug, or mark this one a dupe of that one.

This has affected me as well.

Raising to High, this is a bug causing potential data loss as the mailbox is expected to be in sync after offlineimap runs successfully.

Since bug #883993 is linked to the debian bug I'm going to mark this one a dupe of that and let bug #883993 run through the SRU process.
