Bug Description
l2tp-ipsec-vpn packages are installed fine and the icon appear in top panel but after I edited the new connection I can't start it because the new connection don't appear if I right click or left click the icon I have only: "Edit Connections...", "Connection information", "About" and "Quit".
I tested this on a physical machine and in virtualbox in a new installed one: both ubuntu 11.10 final 64 bit.
Also when I chose "Edit Connection" I can edit the information entered previously about that connection but strange enough the files: /etc/ipsec.conf, /etc/ipsec.secrets are empty even though I entered a PSK and IP information for that connection.
Any suggestion for solving this problems?

As a workaround, is it possible to activate a configured connection using command line?
My connection details look correct in the applet, including PSK, although the two files mentioned in the bug report are indeed empty.
