Bug Description

when you open officelibre write directly (from unity launcher) the program does not come up with close/maximize buttons at the top bar, and the file/edit (etc) buttons are in the program window and not in the main title bar.

Running Ubuntu 11.10 and LibreOffice 3.4.3

Thank you for your bug report. Could you please include the versions of Ubuntu and LibreOffice that you are running in your report? If you could include a screenshot of the problem as well that would be very helpful.

i cant seem to get it to make the close button not show up again, but you can see that the file buttons are in the wrong place (in the program window itself) it also seems that the first time you open the program each time you reboot your computer, it will bring up the Office Libre suite icon in addition to the word processor icon (that you can see on my launcher)

i am on Office Libre 3.4.3
and the newest version of ubuntu

Thanks, the screenshot really helped. Mine behaves the same way and I believe it doesn't seem to be correct.

It's normal behaviour if you don't have "lo-menubar" package (which provides global menu support for LibreOffice) installed. This package is not included in default installation because it has some known problems (bug 760879, bug 739184, and others).
