1. Download the Chrome "64 bit .deb" at <http://
2. On a 64-bit Ubuntu installation, open the .deb.
3. In USC, click "Install".
What happens:
2. Ubuntu Software Center opens to a screen that shows:
- the icon for something that is already installed, when it isn't
- an "Install" button
- the error message, "Wrong architecture 'amd64'".
3. The "Install" button becomes insensitive, but nothing else happens.
What should happen:
2. Chrome appears not installed and installable.
3. Chrome is installed.

Hi mpt, I seem to be able to install Chrome with the latest version of Ubuntu Software Center in Precise. Please try again and let us know if you are still getting this error.
Thanks!
