Bug Description

Hi,

I just tried to update a machine to oneiric. The upgrader failed.

Reason: I had the package flashplugin-installer installed, which was upgraded too. Unfortunately, the upgrade process had taken the network interface down, so the machine was offline. Thus, the postinst script of flashplugin-installer failed, since it tries to download code from the net. Once this postinst script had exited with return val >0, the upgrader aborted and left the machine in an unknown state.

Poor design. Upgrader should wait for the admin to fix or ask whether to continue anyways.

That the duplicate status is wrong.

I did not want to report a bug of flashplugin-installer, but a bug of the upgrader (which erroneously aborts instead of giving the options to manually fix or ignore the problem).

Fixing the upgrader is much more important than fixing flashplugin-installer.
