can't unzip files downloaded from Internet

Trying to unzip files downloaded from the Internet (tried several), in fileroller:

and using terminal unzip command:

unzip mediaplayer.zip

Hello,

Have you tried testing the archive for errors?

"unzip -t test.zip"

I am unable to duplicate the problem with some test archives I created. Is that archive available the public via a URL?

Funny, it seems to be working now... even the ones that didn't download correctly are now downloading correctly, it looks like... if I come across another I'll post a link to it, but for now it seems to be fixed.

But it wasn't the archive, because I could download them to my remote Ubuntu server and unzip the same file fine.
