Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please add the log files from '/var/log/dist-upgrade/' to this bug report as separate attachments? Thanks in advance.

term.log files are empty in both /var/log/dist-upgrade/ and /var/log/dist-upgrade/20111016-2204

Could you please remove libsublime1 and tell if it helps ? This will remove kdevelop that will need to be reinstalled after the upgrade.

(Commenting here, as bug #874220 isn't quite the same issue: the update process couldn't determine the packages needed for upgrade, so I didn't get to the point of restarting which is where the issue in #874220.)

Used `apt-get remove libsublime1`, and the update is running at the moment. Everything seems to be working ok. (N.b. when removing libsublime1, kdevelop was automatically upgraded.)
