Bug Description

Since my update (fresh install!) to Ubuntu Oneiric, Brasero does not work anymore.
I wanted to burn the image of Ubuntu Oneiric, 64bit - but either the dialog shows a free space of a few MB for a completely new CD-R OR when I start the system, insert the disc again, it seems to work and shows 730MB free, but crashes immediately when selecting the image and the drive.

Bad!!!!!!!

How am I supposed to work with that???

Dell XPS 17, L702X with TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L633J

I have the same problem on my ASUS X52JU with a fresh install of Oneiric : Brasero shows that my empty CD-R has 7,9Mo left (see screenshot).

But strangely it worked when I pressed the "Burn" button : my .iso file was correctly burnt on the CD-R.

Hey folks - why does nothing happen here????

I just wanted to burn a DVD-R - no luck. Says it's got 1,9GB of free space instead of around 4 GB! Plus: I cannot select the media, and if I do Brasero immediately crashes!

What is this bug about? Hardware incompatibility?

PLEASE HELP!

could you run "dpkg -l brasero", "gvfs-mount -li" and "udisks --dump" with the CD in the drive and add the logs there?

Some more stuff (screnshot) :
- my CD-R (Lyreco, 700MB) is detected as an "empty CD-R with 737Mo free space"
- if I select an .iso which is 729.1Mo (Oneiric for eg), Brasero tells me that the CD-R has 7,9Mo free space (737 - 729.1 = 7.9)
- id I select an .iso which is 737.5Mo (Precise alpha 1), Brasero tells me that the CD-R is not big enough (737 - 737.5 < 0)

I think Brasero does recognise my CD-R correctly, but the information presented is not correct : I haven't burnt anything yet, so Brasero should not act as if the .iso was already on the CD-R !

I understand this approach when you burn data : you simply want to know how much space left you will have once burnt.
But for an .iso I just don't get it...
