Bug Description

Binary package hint: kpat

Architecture: i386
Version: 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu1
Filename: pool/main/k/kdegames/kpat_3.5.5-0ubuntu1_i386.deb

For some reason the autoplay in Klondike makes an illegal move by moving a 7 of spades on top of a 5 of spades.
I cannot reproduce the bug even by undoing the previous moves and then replaying.
I have a screenshot here: http://users.utu.fi/jukatu/klondike.png
The game does not crash and it's still possible to play the game normally. The bug is just funny.

Is this still an issue with kde 3.5.7?

I can confirm this is a problem in Feisty, it just happened to me, placing a 4 of hearts on top of a 2 of hearts, and making the game unwinnable if you don't notice what it's done.

There is a bug filed on this on the KDE Bugzilla (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56637), and there's a patch posted on 29/10/2006 which supposedly fixes the issue.

I don't know whether that patch was in Sid when the Feisty tree was downloaded.

Is this still a problem in Hardy?

Thank you.

According to the upstream bug, the fix was only applied in KDE 4.

This occurs in Freecell occasionally as well (where the autoplay automatically moves cards to the top when they are appropriate). Please see attached for screenshot of the situation.

KDE 4 is default on Intrepid and this is fixed in KDE 4, so I am closing this as fixed.
