Bug Description

If you hover the mouse over any of the three buttons on a titlebar of a non maximized window no hover effect is shown. How ever if you hover the mouse over the buttons of a maximized window the button will turn lighter when the mouse is over it.

should be fglrx related, atleast I think that.

After a bit more investigation, it seems that it's the whole titlebar that does not refresh, not only the buttons. So if I switch tabs in FireFox the title does not update.

Also at random the titlebar of a window might suddenly start working (refreshing). I'm not sure what triggers it, but when a titlebar starts working it continues to do so until the window is closed.

I also tried Unity 2D and it does not have this bug.

summary: - Titlebar buttons of non-maximized windows do not have hover effect

It appears that the bug is caused by proprietary drivers. In my case, it was proprietary driver "ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver". Once the driver is removed, the window titlebar hover animation will continue working as it should have done.

I tried to install the aforesaid software, but I was unable to due to some sort of error when trying to install its dependency. Therefore, I doubt I will be able to test whether it will work.
