"Open Recent" always open the same file

Version 0.48.1 R9760 - Linux Ubuntu

When I use the "Open Recent" Menu, the file list is correct, but what ever file I choose, it always open the first file in the list.

The bug has been reproduced multiple times.

This is a known issue with Inkscape running under Unity on Ubuntu (see bug #708185). It has been reported that it works as expected when using the classic Gnome desktop instead of Unity.

I am not using Unity, I am using classic gnome.
