Unity ignores primary monitor setting on multi-monitor setups

Bug Description

I use a multi-monitor setup. The primary monitor is the right one and the left one is a smaller secondary monitor.

The primary monitor is set correctly using the NVidia tool. Gnome and other desktops respect this primary setting and put their main user interface elements on the primary desktop.

Unity insists on putting its launcher panel not on the primary monitor, but on the secondary monitor, all the way on the left. My neck hurts from having to twist it all the way every time I want to launch an application.
