Bug Description

Hi,

Is it possible to include support for libgeoip (existing ubuntu package) in a future package of milter-greylist? by compiling with —with-libGeoIP. With geoip support it is also possible to create acl's based on geographic location (by country), which makes (in my opinion) the greylisting much more powerfull.

Regards,
Danny

It seems that this has already been addressed. I'm using 4.5.11-1.1build2 and it's configured with --with-libGeoIP=/usr.

To enable this feature, install a GeoIP database, e.g. geoip-database-extra, and then add

> geoipdb "/usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIPCity.dat"

...to /etc/milter-greylist/greylist.conf

I'ts look like the original Developer of this package http://hcpnet.free.fr/milter-greylist/ had do some updates on his source to support GeoIP2.

Because Maxmind planned to remove 2022 the currently used GeoIP Legacy (v1) support which is currently in this package. See: https://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/legacy/downloadable/

Because with the package geoipupdate can download the GeoIP2 database, which is placed under /var/lib/GeoIP/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb
