Bug Description
After I installed Ubuntu, I noticed that the system did a screen blank when I
closed the lid.
It seems that this should by default unload problem modules (like USB,
networking, etc) initiate a
suspend-to-RAM, and reload the modules on resume.

This is on the list of proposed feature goals for the Hoary release. It's
currently a bit awkward for us to track feature requests like this in Bugzilla,
so I'm resolving this, but rest assured that it's on our radar and won't be lost.
Feel free to propose other features on the Ubuntu mailing lists for discussion.
