Bug Description
MIR for 'otf2bdf' package per:
https:/
'otfbdf' is a command-line utility that depends on libfreetype. It allows converting vector-based fonts (.ttf files) into a common bitmap font form called 'BDF'. This common form can be further converted to allow use in Grub, Linux Console, Bterm (Debian Installer) and others. The specific desire is to use the recently added hinting information in "Ubuntu Mono" from the Ubuntu Font Family to enable usage on the server console.
1. The package is available in universe and builds.
2. Promoting to main will allow the build-dependency in 'ttf-ubuntu-
3. The package does not have a history of security issues and is not generally installed or used directly by end-users, other than those specifically involved with the generation of bitmap console fonts from outline fonts.
4. No configuration is needed, and not Debconf questions are asked. One bug is open, which was filed recently, by myself and which has been historically worked-around by all users with a short sed script as nobody had looked into the details.

5. 'otf2bdf' is a command-line tool, which does not install daemons, nor run as root.

Just curious if there is an update on this bug? We have a project we would like to include the updated ttf-ubuntu- font-family w/ the console fonts and it seems this MIR request is required before that can happen.
Happy to test anything needed here on my end.
Cheers,
Chris
