Bug Description

i try install ubuntu 11.10 on a lenovo x121e.
first I have to remove a script with:
sudo rm /usr/lib/ubiquity/apt-setup/generators/40cdom

this prevents that the setup try to add the not existing cd to the repositories.

when the installation ask where to install, I choose the defult option. install on first hdd with 1 big partition. after filling the remaining forms, the installation continue....
until the grub2 is installed. during this process the error message comes "unable to install grub-efi to /target/"

due to this error the installation is aborted

It looks like apt-install wasn't aware of the package pool on the CD, where grub-efi is located.

Ah, if you remove /usr/lib/ubiquity/apt-setup/generators/40cdrom, you're going to create this problem for yourself.

Instead of removing the 40cdrom file, I edited the line that checks for iso9660 fs and commented it out, forcing apt to accept usb install, but since it's an EFI install the I believe efi folder is missing from the /cdrom once it's chrooted
