Bug Description

When I try to open a book from within calibre it won't open.

If I start Calibre from the commandline and try to open a book it tells me:
xdg-open: file '/home/arjend/calibre_library/Brian%20W.%20Kernighan_%20Dennis%20M.%20Ritchie/C%20Programming%20Language%20(232)/C%20Programming%20Language%20-%20Brian%20W.%20Kernighan_%20Dennis%20M.%20Ritchie.pdf' does not exist

The actual filepath is:
/home/arjend/calibre_library/Brian\ W.\ Kernighan_\ Dennis\ M.\ Ritchie/C\ Programming\ Language\ \(232\)/C\ Programming\ Language\ -\ Brian\ W.\ Kernighan_\ Dennis\ M.\ Ritchie.pdf

It happens to all the books.

This is a issue with xdg-utils on some linux distros. A bit of googling will
find you the previous ticket with the issue and workarounds.
