Vertical line does not cover all pixels

Bug Description

After my terminal switched to Ubuntu mono - at least I assume that's what's happened to it - the vertical line character does not cover all pixels, making alsamixer show up like in the attached screenshot.

Notice that a straight vertical line is now "dashed", which is a regression compared to the original font. If you look really close you can see this on the horisontal lines as well.
