"--plugin trayicon" crashes in portable Windows Build

Bug Description

Everytime i try to open the Portable Windows Build (minimized in systray) it crashes.

I tried to open it like this:
cd ...\ZimDesktopWikiPortable\App\ZimDesktopWiki
zim --plugin trayicon

Afraid this way to open the application is not supported on windows. Related
to bug #210632.

I made a workaround Batchfile for this (should be added to the wiki):

@echo off
start /D"dir" zim.exe
ping 127.0.0.1 -n 2
taskkill /im zim.exe

@antalus: could you explain how this work around works ? Looks like a nice tip, but I fail to get the details (not a windows expert)
