Bug Description

Since an upgrade to Oneiric the screenlets no longer remember their position on the screen. Instead they are all cumulated one over another in the middle of the screen. I'll attach a screenshot to clarify what I mean.

This bug annoying me on my notebook. However it seems, that it not affects systems, that loads user environment faster, for example on my job PC. Notebook HDD and the whole system are much slower, and it is affected.
When i upgraded system to oneric release, this bug appears, and not only screenlets begin loading in a wrong position but pidgin.
It seems like for a moment, while user environment is loading, the whole desktop changes it's top Y position from 0 to 300, and all windows that appears during that time are subject to this change, and their top left corner Y position inherits these 300 pixels.

Also, maybe it unity panel have vertical size of 300 pixels, for some time during desktop load.

Wrote a little shell script /usr/local/bin/delayedstart

#!/bin/bash

sleep $1
$2 &

And using it for background applications automatic start with 30 seconds delay. So far, so good.

Sorry I missed that bug. There is also another bug about screenlets not remembering positions when the screen resolution is changed. I think I mistakenly omitted this bug, because I mixed it up with that bug.

Thanks for your reports and please make some noise next time when you think a critical bug is omitted like that!

Ok, the bug wasn't forwarded to the original project, that's why I omitted it.
