Bug Description

Not sure to file this as a bug or a wishlist item but I'm using 11.10's gnome-session-fallback (the GTK3 version of gnome-panels) and I can't get Cardapio to work.

cardapio-gnomeshell doesn't add an applet (I think it's just for Gnome Shell proper)
cardapio-gnomepanel needs (probably incorrectly) python-gnomeapplet and it isn't installable.

It seems like this is all really close to being in the right place, I just wanted to poke you in case you weren't aware of gnome-session-fallback

Hi Oli,

Just to clarify: what you're saying is that cardapio-gnomepanel no longer works in Gnome 3's classic session.

I am aware of this issue. See bug 833382.

The problem here is that Gnome Panel v3 fundamentally changes the way plugins work (i.e. the panel no longer uses Bonobo). I've been dreading fixing this issue, because in my experience every new Gnome technology suffers from very little and very poor documentation. But I guess I'll try to fix it soon.

Of course, if anyone who's reading this would like to help out, that would be great :)
