Bug Description

I'm just testing the Oneiric 20111009-i386 live image and I first played the video example which appeared to work fine, but when I tried the audio example banshee opened as expected. Then I had to unmute the sound, and afterwards I was unable to pause or quit banshee at all. Even after the sample song ended it's not possible to close banshee.

To reproduce just play the sample song in examples and try to pause, quit, or close the app.

Post-installation banshee seems to work fine with the examples, so this only effected the live desktop. I'll reboot the live CD and see if I can reproduce this.

Well, I tried to reproduce this on the live desktop again and all seemed fine so I don't know what happened the first time.

Unless someone else reports the same issue I think it's safe to consider this a fluke, and mark this invalid.

This particular hardware boots to unity-2D by default (P4M800 graphics).

I have tried to reproduce this bug using the same ISO image, both during the LiveCD session and with the system installed. I can't get it to appear. I have been using a Compaq C700 laptop - Celeron with integrated graphics - for ISO testing but in the light of my trouble-free test runs, have since put a second installation on my Acer em350 netbook. Unity actually makes a good deal of sense in the latter environment, and Banshee is working fine there as well.

Still unable to reproduce with 20111011 so I'm marking this invalid.

Changed in banshee (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
