rename USB function does not work

Bug Description
I am using Linux Mint 11 gnome 64. When I plug in a USB, I am unable to rename the USB. The rename function is not highlighted. I have to go to Windows to rename the USB. It is interesting that the format USB function does work. My computer is a new Asus A53U.
