Doesn't do anything on Unity-2d

I installed the ap, added a folder of wallpapers, enable the Gnome module, set up auto rotation, started the daemon, verified that it was running with "ps aux | grep nova"

It's been about half an hour and no change to my wall paper... :(

I guess I'll have to use wallch for the time being, but nova has the key feature I want!
