Bug Description
Compiz crashed, but before apport-gtk would give me any useful information, apport-gtk demanded that I uninstall the nvidia drivers I installed in order to remedy problems I was having with nvidia drivers supplied by ubuntu. I would at least like to know what problem compiz encountered even if I am using a supposedly unsupported drivers.
summary: |
- Ubuntu wants me to replace buggy binary drivers from nvidia with older - buggy drivers from nvidia supported by ubuntu + Apport-gtk does not give very helpful feedback about what happened soon + enough. |

Do you have a .crash file for compiz in /var/crash? If so, you may be able to submit the data with "ubuntu-bug -c ..." where ... is replaced by the name of the crash file. See https:/ /help.ubuntu. com/community/ ReportingBugs for details. (Please also make sure to read that carefully, if you have not done so already, before reporting bugs in any Ubuntu package).
Alternatively you may be able to examine information about the crash without filing a report by using the tools described at https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Apport# Tools on the .crash file.
