this came up when i wanted to install the quota package

From the dpkg log:

quotacheck: lstat Cannot stat `/home/iulian/.gvfs': Permission denied

then:

cannot find /home/aquota.group on /dev/sda4 [/home]

Looks like the problem was caused when quotacheck bombed out.
