vim-latex suite is not configurable

Binary package hint: vim-latexsuite

I installed the vim-latexsuite, but I have been trying to configure it without success. I suppose that the configuration file should be in /usr/share/vim/addons/ftplugin/tex
and it could be tex.vim or texrc. I tried both without success. It just keeps with the default configuration. I'm using kubuntu edgy and all packages updated.

To your problem. I suggest that you create a folder if you haven't already done so in your home directory, ~/.vim

or better yet
mkdirhier ~/.vim/ftplugin

then copy this tex.vim,
cp /usr/share/vim/vim70/ftplugin/tex.vim ~/.vim/ftplugin

Now altering ~/.vim/ftplugin/tex.vim should be what you need.

The configuration files are existing in /usr/share/vim/addons/
