Bug Description

To acces your hardware through indicator-session is very usefull. Only it should reflect *all* hardware, where possible. Right now, scanners are excluded.

for me with a Cannon Lide30 the scanner item is listed in the menu

with a HP DeskJet F2180 All-in-One Printer (printer + scanner) there is no scanner item in the menu

Thanks for this suggestion. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.

indicator-session was simplified as part of 12.10's indicator redesign. One of the things that got cut was the hardware items, so we won't be adding scanner support to indicator-session.
