aticonfig/driver fails on HP Pavilion dv6-6185ex which has hybrid Intel/AMD Radeon HD 6770M graphics

Can't get ATI driver to work on my HP Pavilion dv6-6185ex. I installed the driver via jockey and X is working but fglrx is not loaded, so I tried to manually load fglrx driver in xorg.conf by adding
Section "Device"
 Identifier "ATI radeon 6770"
 Driver "fglrx"
EndSection
but booting fails now and the last two lines on my screen were
depmod -ae
WARNING: -e needs -E or -F
