[keyboard indicator] "Show Current Layout" displays empty window (at least on amd64)

Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-applets
On this amd64 edgy box, I've got the keyboard indicator applet in my panel. I'd like to be able to see what keys are mapped to which characters, so I right click on the applet and select "Show Current Layout". I get an empty window with a Close button at the bottom.
