Binary package hint: nmzmail
A wishlist item.
man nmzmail says "You can manually update your index periodically or via a cronjob...". I think it is misleading: you _must_ update the index frequently, else search results will omit recently received email.
Perhaps nmzmail could be given the ability to update its index on any change to the maildir contents?
