Bug Description

First log in and the desktop wallpaper dows not look right. It seems to me, that ubuntu whants to show the desktop in a different area. The wallpaper is centerd at the bottom right corner an an the left side and upside are wide black stripes. When I move a windows in this area, a lot of single windows are shown (images of my window, that dows diasapear). There are no problem in the windows itself, so browsing just work normaly.
The top and side panels are shown correctly and compiz is crashing a lot.

I'm affected by the same, on a Radeon system. Sounds like it's more desktop related than the graphics driver.
