'NoneType' objet has no attribute 'makefile'

For information, I'm behind a proxy.

Hello!

Thanks for helping us making Ubuntu One better. This release of Ubuntu One does not support proxy, sorry.

We're planning on supporting proxy soon, you can subscribe to bug #387308 to
keep track on the progress in that front.

Thanks, Natalia.

are you sure this a proxy issue?
because the error message isn't explicit

Yes, I'm pretty sure.

The error seems to come from urllib, which has an inner bug where the connection times out trying to reach the other end, and a socket is never initialized, so it remains None and the the socket.makefile call fails.

Thanks for caring!
