Desktop only covers portion of screen

I have no idea whether this is a bug with unity, compiz, nautilus, or combinaton of all of the above. But after upgrading them today on Oneiric, the deskto doesn't look right anymore, the desktop wallpaper only covers a portion of the screen and the area where the wallpaper should be shouws ghosts of where other windows were. The glitch seems to look this way in expo as well.
