very high png file does not work

after update of firefox, silksprite plugin for blueprint (http://www.ajaxbestiary.com/Labs/SilkSprite/) stopped working for me, after a little bit of investigation I found that ff don't displays this image when loading this file: http://www.ajaxbestiary.com/Labs/SilkSprite/CSS/blueprint/plugins/silksprite/sprites.png
either as background or as normal image

This PNG image does not display correctly in Firefox 3.6.23 on Ubuntu 10.04 either. It also does not display correctly in Internet Explorer 8 on Windows. In both cases there is just a thin line of static running down the left edge of the screen.

Firefox 49 on Ubuntu 14.04 now displays this PNG image correctly, but it is zoomed out to fit into the window. If you carefully move the mouse over the thin strip in the centre of the window the pointer will change to a magnifying glass containing a + symbol and then if you click it will zoom in and the image will be visible.
