Bug Description

I don't know if this is a problem with xorg. The problem is that when I maximize a window, and then un-maximize it, the three circle buttons in the top left corner disappear sometimes. This does not happen always. You might need to maximize and un-maximize a few times to see it. When the buttons disappear, their functionality remains, however. If you click on where you expect the close button should have been, the window will close.

I will try to gather some screenshots.

More likely to be a unity issue, they should probably look at this first.

affects: xorg (Ubuntu) → unity (Ubuntu)

Extremely annoying.

Similar here, although not clear when these buttons disappear.

To make things worse, it is no longer possible to select this application in Unity panel (i.e. if I select Thunderbird from Unity panel, then select Firefox, I'm no longer able to see Firefox window - the only way to get to it is ctrl+tab).

I don't have this issue at all. Can you check if running unity --reset fixes the issue? Thanks
