laptop memory card reader

kubuntu feisty herd 4. my laptop is Compaq / HP nc6120

the memory card/flash reader doesn not work. I mean the integraded reader for digital cameras, cell phones memory cards (MMC, SD etc). I remember in the old kubuntu stable release it worked.

here it is my lspci, the memory card reader should by a Texas Instruments's FlashMedia Controller I guess.

please make it works!!

Change of Ubuntu to package linux-meta

In the meantime, I could make the TI SD reader works following th instructions here:

in particular, I had to run the following command from Konsole:

sudo setpci -s nn:nn.n 4c.b=0x02 (of course I had to replace the "n" with the device number visible from "lspci" )

Beginning with the Hardy Heron 8.04 development cycle, all open Ubuntu kernel bugs need to be reported against the "linux" kernel package. We are automatically migrating this bug to the new "linux" package. However, development has already began for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release.
