this issue happen after installing new ubuntu 11.10

Also affects gnome-settings-daemon 3.2.0-0ubuntu2 (report ist for "...ubuntu1"). Just crashed.

FWIW, I just went through the crash report tool for this bug, with 3.2.0-0ubuntu2. After reading the bug, I upgraded just gnome-settings-daemon to 3.2.0-0ubuntu3, logged out, and logged back in. So far, I have not experienced a crash.

I think this is evidence that this is a dup of #832603, and can therefore be merged/closed.
