Bug Description
Currently if you're searching for something using the lenses, filter the results and afterwards close the dash, the filter will remain active, but the filter sidebar will eventually hide and when you open the dash again and search for something a couple hours later, you will just wonder where did all the files / folders go.
IMO if any of the filters is active, the filter sidebar has to be shown when dash is opened, this way the user will see immediately why there are only a few / no results.
Of course the other option is to reset search and filters, which would be event more sane imo.

I've had 2 panic attacks just last week "zomg! application xyz got removed?!" frantically browsing the apps lens for 30s before realizing I had the filters turned on. In my experience it's not only because the filters may hide, but it also happens when they are shown. I think we generally needs clearer indication when we are filtering the view.
