Bug Description

OpenLP 1.9.7 on Win 7, Ubuntu, Arch Linux, OpenLP opens Libre Office as it should. When OpenLP is closed Libre Office remains open. I would think the expected action would be for Libre Office to close also. A side note and I think this may not be possible but it would be nice, at least I think, if possible for Libre Office to run in the "background" so to speak.

It used to run background, however this stops you from opening new LibreOffice windows. I think you were the one who complained, causing us to fix it to what it does now...

I don't think background or not is really this issue the issue is it is not shutting down when OpenLP shuts down. In version 1.x PowerPoint shutdown with OpenLP. Someone doesn't need their ability to say create a document crippled really either I wouldn't think just because OpenLP is running.

If memory serves, it does try to shutdown, but it has a few checks in there to make sure it wasn't already open beforehand, or you didn't open additional documents that OpenLP doesn't know about.

I think it errs on the side of caution, since the last thing we want is for LibreOffice to shutdown and lose the users last 5 hours of changes to the very important document that they have to have finished in 5 minutes or else.

In this case, it looks like these checks are not working correctly.

At the moment, LibreOffice also moans about deprecated command line arguments... here's a script that can pull the version of LibreOffice or OpenOffice.org out of the command line help message.

Created a separate bug for #5 (Bug #902964) so it doesn't get lost. I've fixed the original problem for this report.
