[apport] gnome-app-install crashed with AssertionError in tryRemove()

this seems to happen with anything i am trying to uninstall!

Can you please run in a terminal:
$ sudo apt-get install -f --simulate
and attach the resulting output of this here?

I'm a little new to all of this, however I guess there is only one way to learn.... The output follows:

I currently do not have a good idea what is wrong. I will add some debug code to the next version of gnome-app-install (0.3.23). Once that hits the archive, can you please open a terminal, run "gnome-app-install" and click on a pacakge that triggers the bug? Than please attach the output that appeared on the terminal.

(I plan to upload a new version of g-a-i tonight)
