vlc menus invisible in Natty

Bug Description
With a video loaded, including when paused, in vlc, the menus are invisible. The menu bar is visible.
I am using the classic (without effects) desktop.
This was not the case in previous versions of Ubuntu.

This sounds like a problem with the XVideo driver. Can you please provide the output of xvinfo (from x11-utils)?
