Bug Description

After performing updates using update manager, the display was dim (been that way since upgrade form 11.04 to 11.10) and depressed and held Fn (function key) and up-arrow (to increase brightness and received the error.

It is interesting that this popped up during usage. The bug itself may be a dupe of bug #828684, though.

Are you able to reproduce this bug? Have you seen it more than this one time?
