Bug Description

When I plug my laptop(Lenovo T420, i5 2520m) into a secondary monitor above it, there are a few major problems. When I switch to the setup initially, all of my applications go to the upper monitor, and get maximized. When I try to unmaxmize it, it dissappears. When I click on it's icon in the Unity toolbar it appears almost all the way off the screen(to the left). But the big problem is when I try and move windows to the bottom screen, the top edge of the application will not go below the bottom of the top screen, and I cannot maximize windows on my laptop screen.

Also, when I switch between two windows of the same application, the selection window is in the split between the monitors and under the bar at the top of my laptop screen.

This doesn't appear to be an X problem. Rather, it seems to be a problem with compiz or Unity. Moving to an appropriate package.
