Bug Description

Portaudio v18 does not support ALSA. This causes problems with applications that use it, like audacity. Portaudio v19 supports ALSA and JACK. This will fix conflicts between Portaudio apps and other applications using the mixer like esd.

This bug is a bit nonsensical: v19 already exists in Feisty.

In the overview section of launchpad, I see this:
"portaudio" source package in ubuntu
Latest release: 18.1-4

2006-10-26 14:42:42 EDT Published feisty Release main sound 18.1-4

Does it exist as a separate package?
